Music - UPEI Music Department

 
We offer three different degree programs at UPEI
(1) BA Major in Music (an interview only is required unless the student wishes to pursue studies on an instrument at the studio minor level)
(2) Bachelor of Music 

There is a three-step application process:

1) ​The first step for students is to create an account with UPEI via the link​: http://www.upei.ca/becomeastudent/

2) The next step is the Audition Application, the form link:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/N9YL3QM

3) Lastly, students must have a recommendation from either a private music teacher or school band instructor.  The Applicant Recommendation Form which can be found at the link:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3PC2TLL

 

  • Interested students wishing to have a package mailed to them may write directly to us for this.  Students should also be made aware that more explicit information pertaining to audition repertoire is available upon request.

Saint Mary's University

IMPORTANT DEADLINE CHANGE – Our scholarship deadline is now March 1 as opposed to March 15 in previous years. Students will not need a letter of reference for their scholarship applications this year.

IMPORTANT ADMISSIONS CHANGE – Students will now only require one Grade 12 Science as opposed to two Grade 12 Sciences in the past in order to be admissible into the Science program. That Grade 12 Science course can be either Chemistry 12, Biology 12, Physics 12 or Computer Programming 12.

Scholarship Day Workshop

February 18 9:30AM – 12:30PM

“Saint Mary’s University will be hosting a Scholarship Day Workshop on February 18 from 9:30AM-12:30PM in room AT 101. Students are encouraged to bring their parents to take part in a workshop aimed at diving deep into the different types of scholarships available at Saint Mary’s and how to apply for them. If you plan on attending, please bring an official copy of your transcript for admissions on the spot where they will be waiving the application fee and reassessing for higher entrance scholarships! University of New Brunswick

"Transition to University" Info Session

When: Tuesday, February 14, at 7:00pm
Where: Old Orchard Inn, Wolfville

Students and parents will learn all about how to transition successfully to university.  We'll discuss the differences between high school and university, support services offered at UNB, scholarships, tips for living in residence, and advice on how to succeed academically.
